What is the difference between self-exclusion and account closure?

Both options help you take a break from gambling – but they work differently:

  • Timeout (Self-exclusion at Tipico):
    • You can deactivate your account for a set period.
    • During this time, you cannot log in or place bets.
    • After the period ends, your account is automatically reactivated.
  • Account closure:
    • You can permanently close your account.
    • Reactivation is not possible.
    • You may register again with a new email address and username.

💡 Tip: You can manage both options in your account under “Limits & Closure.”
